Charming, friendly, and comfortable

I enjoyed my stay at The Granary cottage very much. Niall Heenan, the owner, is a wonderful man and did his very best to look after an american traveling solo with her cats. I came to North Tipperary to ride and within the span of an hour Niall had organsed it so that I was able to get on a hunt for the next morning. I will be coming back to this cottage again with my family. The cottage has everything that you could need on a little retreat.

Great place in the country

Perfect place to explore the real Ireland, close to the best country pub in Ireland, lots of room to relax ,read ,cook ,walk, bike, etc.Hosts were great. You must have a car as you are in the country, but its worth it.Music in all the pubs was wonderful. We arrived very, very late ,but the lights were left on and soft music playing,it was a perfect beginning to a great stay.

Peaceful

The granary is located in a beautiful rural setting. Just the place to unwind, and also close enough to civilization if required. It is comfortable and well appointed. The sauna and laundry are a great plus. Th only problem encountered was that the cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils were not properly clean and needed to be washed prior to use.

It's everything you could hope for in a quiet, countryside visit

My husband and I stayed in this simple, cozy, and all around lovely cottage during the first week of our two-week honeymoon in Ireland. We hadn't told Niall it was our honeymoon until we arrived, and he immediately ran to grab a bottle of champagne to congratulate us. That really represented our entire visit. Niall provided us with the perfect balance of hospitality and privacy. We enjoyed peaceful walks to the bog nearby, the beautiful area surrounding the Granary, and the lively and quaint local pub. We took several day trips during our time there, and Niall helped us with planning many of them. It was the perfect place to relax and explore, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay.

Serenity Haven - home away from home

My husband and I were staying 2 weeks in Ireland and wanted a restful holiday before beginning our drive around Ireland. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute in this picturesque area with 2 fabulous Pubs in Terryglass and traditional Irish music on Sundays / walks / bike-riding and water with the Lough nearby. Just what we needed.
