When you find the first conker of the season some people believe you get good fortune should you say "Oddly oddly onker my first conker". Conkers fall from trees in September and October, and so that leads us to Autumn and Winter.
Autumn is when we see a wonderful array of red, gold and auburns dusted on the ground, where the nights get darker and weather gets colder and a new winter coat and scarf is a must. It is not all gloomy though, autumn brings a lot of food and drink festivals. How about pumpkin soup for Halloween, or Fireworks for Guy Fawkes?
And last but certainly not least, Christmas. Christmas is that time to be merry, a special time of year where family and friends get together to celebrate. We love the wonderful Christmas Markets here in the UK and after a long day, getting back to a cosy cottage with an open fire is a must, perhaps with a cheeky glass of mulled wine.
Have you booked yourself a winter warmer? If not then hurry up, you don't want to miss out.
